MadnessDay2011 Entry

This track was put together in roughly two days using my newly updated Reason 5.0 and Pro Tools 8. It was just an idea for a loop for Madness Heist but after further experimenting with different things, it turned into a full bonus track. It's a little different than some of my other work. I wanted to give it a Prodigy and Crystal Method feel. Anyways, enjoy the new track!

Three words.

This song rocks.

This is definitely getting downloaded and playlisted. It sounds kinda like Prodigy, but not really. It's more of a twist off of Prodigy. It's different from Prodigy, which is something I adore in music. I believe every artist should have their own signature style, and you nailed it. Very nice. This is a truly amazing song to listen to. This will be overplayed many times, that I can guarantee. Hats tipped to ya. Keep up the amazing work.

Has a true "wasteland industrial" feel to it.

Wile I wouldent say it feels like The Prodigy at all. Maby channeling a little TCM. What it REALLY reminds me of is PCB Productions. They're the guys that did the soundtrack Metal Arms. Really sets the mood for giant oil lakes and other things that belong in industrial wasteland settings. Lots of reverb. May I ask what you did in Reason to get that main synth. Hopefully it is still as cool without some "metal sheen"(I know Logic has that one) like plugin in Pro Tools or something. Thanks.

Thanks a lot for the review. The main synth I used from Reason is called "FatThang". I added Scream 4 distortion to it along with delay effects. I also turned the treble up a lot to make it sound more fuzzy yet still remain clear.
