here be lyrics:

Send my regards to the kitchen
Those kids damn well know how to cook
Send my regards to the kitchen
Those kids damn well know how to cook

It's too late to say sorry
It's too late to fall apart
I've said far too much
I've said far too much

Send my regards to the kitchen
Those kids damn well know how to cook
They spun around, fell in a trance
I gazed and watched the beautiful dance
Blood seeped my mouth

It's too late to say sorry
It's too late to fall apart
I've said far too much
I've said far too much

It's too late to say sorry
It's too late to fall apart
I've said far too much
I've said far too much

Sound quality needs work

That is my main problem with the track.

Song somewhat reminds me of Thursday at times, at least their calmer music, mainly due to the vocals.

The vocals are terrible during the refrain, though, because of the two vocals not hitting the same notes. It could work out with just the one, falsetto is cool and stuff, but I don't think it's very fitting for this song.

Guitar solo was terribly off, didn't go well with the song at all. It was good, I just don't think it has anything to do in the middle of this song.

Drums were probably the best part of the song. They were study and could be relied on when it came to tempo.

Personally I think you're having problems finding out exactly what kind of music you want to play. This sounds just a bit too messy.

thanks a lot for the honest feedback

Instruments good, vocals need work.

I like the drums especially, but the vocals are...well, let's run through some of the lines he didn't do well on:

Those kids damn well know how to cook
The singer said something different, along the lines of:
"Those kids sure know how to cook"

It's too late to say sorry
The pitch they used, or maybe they cracked a note, but I just feel as if they sung a bit too loudly in this line. I feel like he should've got gradually louder with the verse.

Well, that's about it. Sure there was a few more things to discuss, but I think I touched up on everything!

P.S. Are the lyrics in order or no?

Thanks a lot for the review! Very helpful.

Sounds great

Once again another good piece as usual. I really like the tone to this one actually. Kind of has a feel as if it once meant to give you hope with the lyrics and all. Very charming and swift.

The drums sound very pleasing here and keep a good pace which is enjoyable. Enjoy the little things on the drums too. Maybe add in a drum fill or two every now and then for fun.

The guitar sounded splendid here. It kind of carries a great alternative rock feel to it. The solo was short but very sweet so very nice work there too.

The vocals were very nice and solid here. The only bad thing is at some parts it gets way too loud, pretty obvious since it is the main chorus where it starts out a bit too loud. Oh well.

Overall, great piece, good luck in the music industry.

Haha thanks a lot man.

well

it's like it could be an amazing song but then you'll have to fix up your singer and rerecord/mix it properly. MY main gripe: the voice is pretty terrible, except for the line "Send my regards to the kitchen", which actually sounds pretty cool. On all the other lines, the singing is VERY out of tune- and the fact that it clips so bad in the chorus makes it sound very amateruylike.

And also you probably need some new recording equipment or something, cause it appears to me that the drums and guitar DID sound pretty good originally, but became muddy and undefined somewhere in the recording process.

But still as I said I think it does have a lot of potential if you redid it. The lyrics make no sense to me but they certainly don't hurt the track. And the guitar chords are pretty cool. And the bassline really brings this up a few notches- there's something about how the bassline interacts with the guitar chords that makes this quite interesting harmonically. And the title is cool

Sawdust responds:

Haha thanks man I suck I know :(

This is still a demo right now, however. And I completely redid the lyrics :P except for the chorus though

We're definitely gonna redo this, make it something like Weezer's Only In Dreams.

Thanks for the feedback, however! I appreciate your bluntness.

5'd

The drums overpowered the guitars through most of the song. I think they should have been more of a background instrument, really. I could also hear a bit of static on the vocals at some parts, as though the sounds were peaking.

I really liked the guitar though. It's a pretty simple melody, yet it was catchy, and the solos were really cool too. Really fun to listen to. It has a very Rock N Roll, Indie, Underground feel to it.

Great song, overall. The drums were my main gripe with this song. I don't really like drums to be the most prominent instrument when I'm listening to Rock. But it's a good song, well deserving of 9 stars, and a 5 vote. Keep it up!

Sawdust responds:

Thanks a lot yo
