All instruments either created by me, or modified by me to the point that they hardly resemble the original sound at all. So to all of those instrument obsessed people, take that lol. Also, the bass drum is suppose to be very contrasting to the rest of the song by being really heavy. It has less to do with the inspiration and more to do with the contrasting sound textures that it creates. So hopefully it's good. Also, since the last one I extended it and made it a little different in different ways.
As for the inspiration for this song. I was in the Upper Peninsula or the UP of Michigan. Up there is like a completely different world, and it's beautiful. Like I was saying, we were up there and driving down towards Minnesota. And the way down, it's just one road surrounded by beautiful snow covered forests. Hills and mountains everywhere. It's absolutely beautiful. I find that if I close my eyes and just listen to the song, it takes me there. So hopefully it can do the same for you.
On an unrelated side note, the reason I was there was for a vacation with my girlfriend. It was a wonderful time and managed to re-inspire me to write music. So on this trip, we went to the Mall of America. There something happened. The girlfriend I mentioned she is a girlfriend no longer...

...except this is right before the battle. This is the boss talking to you. He is in fact your father who has returned from the future to stop you from becoming the great hero you're destined to be.
And thus your party one by one gets slain, and for some reason every friend you ever had gets blown up, and it's only you and him in existence as far as you care.
Lol I really think this deserves better ratings. It's very simple but I do like it.
