sounds more trance to me...
its not bad...however your song sounds empty at parts. Maybe you could use more reverb and delays to make your sounds richer

i was trying to do something house-y but it ended up sounding like beautiful life-ace of base. oh well!

You're getting somewhere. The sound of the instruments you used are ok though sometimes they conflict because they get crowded, you can try stereo'ing them or panning them differently because I feel like the sounds are centered too much.
Good original song tho :D
