My laptop was getting repaired all last week so I didn't have access to Logic and I really wanted to make some music. So I made this Liquid DnB track entirely in Garageband. If you're unfamiliar with Liquid Drum and Bass, I highly encourage you to check it out, it's very trippy. I just found the strings sample and then the rest of it just fell together in my head after that. The strings sample is pretty much the only unaltered sample in here, the rest of it has been sliced and pitched up, and the sub bass and keyboard are mine. No duplo music here. It is possible to make quality music in Garageband, if you're creative enough. I even sidechained the bass manually by automating the volume on one region, exporting it, re- importing the audio file, and looping it (a lot easier than automating the volume through the whole song!) I encourage people to push the boundaries with Garageband if you can't afford Logic! (or are too lazy to pirate it, but you shouldn't do that of course!)
