Easy Listening - Classical

Author Comments

I wrote this just for fun. I imagined two sword fighters dueling it out. It's several years old now (I think from 2007) so I'd like to think my mixing and production skills have improved since then. Listening to it now there are several things I would tweak but overall musically it's pretty solid. I hope you like it! Comments/reviews are more then welcome! Copyright: Madsen Studios LLC.

Very epic.

I read one of the comments...stating Beowulf...and I was interested. :)

Wickedly good only problem is some of the samples, but...that's not your fault...the production here is great. The violin with accented notes, the horns laying down...almost like a pad. All adds up to a good composition. Good work, my friend.

I agree Jake. I think some of it is just having spent more time with my samples and producing. But it's always good to go back to older pieces and find what you'd change or tweak now. Shows progress! Thanks for the review.

This is exactly the kind of music I want to write. The horns somewhat reminded me of Beowulf. Near the end the brass gets more involved, making it sound extremely adventurous, which I love.

Yeah, my favorite part is when the french horns come back in after the string break down. Almost like the "good" guy is almost about to lose then during a moment of reflection finds the strength to fight back. Glad you enjoyed it!
