Larry begins his journey in a large, quirky city (Karryon). At this point the game is light and care-free. As the piece develops the character of the town unfolds.

This is the second track (full version, 96kbps) on the official Larry and the Gnomes soundtrack. The album is already on iTunes, and will also be available in the Newgrounds store for purchase! This is a great way to show your support for the Larry series.

I know I'm probably the millionth person to say this, but I love this track! It really explains, enhances and defines the Larry series- the music is almost a character in and of itself! I realize it has it limitations and composition requirements, but if it could have been a bit longer, and perhaps a bit more varied, it would be more epic.

More good stuff. Check out Bruno Coulais if you haven't already. He did Coraline, and has been sounding like Danny Elfman before Elfman was a composer. He rules.

Wow

You, Mr. Orr, are the most talented composer on Newgrounds. This is with EWQL right? You did a great job of adding realism. Sounds like something from a high-budget Nintendo game (in fact.. the beginning almost sounds exactly like the Mario Galaxy Motif)
I'm amazed that you can make the orchestra tumble around with such finesse, you'd almost be mistaken for Horner or Elfman. The song does a great job of changing moods from heroic to playful-action to classical fantasy. Props, dude.

Wow, thanks for the kind words! Yes, this is all done with EWQL Symphonic Orchestra, with a few samples from Stormdrum and QL Pianos. I was aiming for that whimsical, hectic Elfman style - it's great to hear that it came through!

Apparently, this has yet to be used in an actual Larry cartoon, but I am sure it will eventually. This was strange for the "Larry" character, because I did not understand how this was like Larry. It seemed more like a casual song about someone going on a bike or something. Whatever it is, it works out well and it is quite fun. It has a very uplifting spirit to it, and you normally do not think of that when you have Larry on your mind. This almost sounds like Christmas music from "Home Alone" or something.
