I'm trying something new here. Instead of heavy metal with orchestra on top, I tried making an orchestral piece with hints of heavy metal lying underneath.
It was all meant to sound panicky and frightening, but I got carried away with the majestetic feel.
In other words, I think it turned out abit too high-and-mighty for it's purpose once again. Perhaps you'll, like it anyway.
If not, I'll give it another try as soon as my schedule allows it :P

It sounds more like a soundtrack than classical with heavy metal underlines, but I loved it anyway. I also felt like there was a huge buildup during the song, and I would have loved some kind of huge tension fading in followed by a "breaking point" with some really fast and heavy guitar solo... That would have been an epic finale.

As a metalhead myself, I've got to say this is a really good piece of music. I'm digging the harmonies, melodies, rythm, well all of it.
I've got some minor issues with the sound mix, the drums being swallowed by the rest, but that's a minor thing compared to the overall musical quality of the song.
Looping for the sixth time, that's reason enough for me to give it a 5/5 9/10 rating.
