The trees are menacing.
Looming over my head like phantoms.
As the winds whirl through the leaves
They seem to howl and scream

Implanting into my core
A terror that sends my feet
Into a raging sprint
Away from what's behind me.

I'm not sure what I'm running for from
Nor where I will run to
But with one foot in-front of the other
I will escape from this nightmare
