Bit too much
I'll get straight to the point. In most parts it just seems to be too much going on and sounds kind of muddy. Now that track artifact I'll give that a 10 lol.
composed over like, a day
just wait for the crazy bass

yea i kinda agree and hmm... drumnbass.be?
mastering holds you down
overall nice but too many melodies for me, too much treble and not enough sub. your drums, especially the kick, are too weak. it lacks bass and sounds like its been recorded in a tin can. the reese needs low end and a more compressed straight sound, its so spreaded and thin. The arp fits in videogames, trance, dance music but personaly I wouldnt use it in dnb like you did. the snare copmpression sounds alright but the sample is weak and not full enough (layer a more snappy snare over it) I would lower the rides a bit and turn up the kick and use a maximizer on the reese so you don't have sudden volume changes when the filter comes in.
and again the mastering, the eq is not rightcant tell, its... tinny and thin and lacks mids, get new output hardware pal >,< your mastering always holds you down
inspector9, I think you mean black sun empire
yeah the ipod headphones r not workin out im gettin some studio monitors for my b-day. thanks for the well thought out review!
Its frustrating tho bcauz on my ipod headphones the kick sounds very full and so does the reese. arent the sudden volume changes what you want tho? bcaz they add to the rhythm?
I wanna feel that bass
The song itself is pretty dope though man.
I like the overall production, the bass just needs to be deeper and hit harder.
then it would be perfect.
Also...
did you know Black Sun Rising is the name of a dnb artist? haha
just wonderin
nope lol but thanks
niggy
needs more bass on the reese and kick drum, but great otherwise sj
