The drums are powerful, and if it were the drums alone, it would probably be headbang worthy.
Not that I'm saying the melody is bad, it's just the mass distortion that you have on it that makes it bad.
Sounds like it's massively clipping, and it makes my ears want to bleed.
SO I might give you a small lesson:
Got a pedal? Plug it into your computer. When recording the rythm, put in two tracks into your DAW and pan one of the tracks all the way left, and the other all the way right.
Get the voxengo boogex amp simulator VST and add that as an effect. Those weird lines on it are the EQ, take the two points and move them to the very left and very right.
For bass, also use Boogex because it has some bass amp models.
And for drums, get Antress ModernMonster compressor.
