great oldie-style theme.
The progression is great, as well as the overall theme. A few notes may need to be tweaked- they fee like they strayed a little bit from the theme.
Village Folk
I think of this music as some kind of village like situation, perhaps a festival of goodwill or to worship a god before/after a plentiful harvest.
Also, I don't believe ALL of the people who rated 10 are his "buddies" as you put it, Sneasekat.
I do not usually appreciate a piece enough to become agitated by a comment that slanders it, infact I'm the one doing the slandering, == the internet has no laws so shut up. /smileyface commence - :) == but this piece has - as I stated earlier - a summer village feel to it, it makes me somewhat think of nostalgic memories playing one of my all time favourite games - Dark Cloud, although I never played any sequels unfortunately. /sadface commence - :(

eh, could be better
To be honest, it just sounds like you selected random notes that were close to each other without caring. This doesn't even sound like anything that makes remote musical sense. It confuses my ears, because they're trying to hear something that might be in the same key as the rest of the notes, or something that might actually complete a good melody. And it can't.
Plus, its even worse when its just THAT "melody" and some..excuse for background music.
It just doesn't make...musical sense.
Kinda like if somebody drew a cat with the anatomy of a dog, then and paintbucketed a solid color for a background.
Oh, and before you go "ratting" on me for giving your music a low score, when all of your buddies rated it 10, thinking that I'm just some newgrounds lurker, I've been in orchestral music (Music with ACTUAL instruments OMG) for 5 years.

We have no friends on Newgrounds. Zero. None. The people who give us 9s and 10s are people who found our music on the front page, just like you did, but instead of being so self-important with some ridiculously small time in the music "industry" like you are, those are people who like different approaches to music.
I have played actual instruments for 14 years (OMG), and while I enjoy playing with a band every now and then, Newgrounds is a very fun and very fulfilling way to let out my creativity. If your ears are confused by hearing something new, then you're the one who needs to open your mind. You're the one with a problem, not us. And you try to talk about musical sense? What a load of crap.
While this song hasn't been written by me, but by Cuzone, I have enough experience in music to be able to say that you have no idea what you're taking about.

Cuzone: Technically, if you drew a cat with a anatomy of a dog, it would be a dog... and the solid color background would just make the perfect drawn dog pop up even more. So, thank you for the nicest compliment... Too bad your note couldn't go along with it ;).
