Bioshock: Splicer Fun!

This is a longish reel at three minutes and thirty seconds. You no likey, then no listen!

So Hnilmik linked me to reels of the different splicers from Bioshock (basically raw audio dumps with no music or sound effects) and I was amazed by the performances and the clues to the story that the lines told. So, I decided to make my own! I guess you could call him Virgil. He was a writer at some point.

I've switched up delivery/dialect at times like the original actors did (for enemy variety, I guess).

Line Types, in order: idling, examining corpse, at a locked door, burning, frozen, dying, hunting the player, and using the vending machines.

I'd just reinstalled and started re-playing Bioshock this day. This character would fit perfectly in Rapture. Very much a Sander Cohen-esque! The real benefit of Rapture/Splicers is that you can do pretty much any kind of dialogue and it "fits". This was great though, really liked it.

What kind of setup you using? Very clear sound.

Very well done sir.

It'd be sweet if a character like this were in the game.

Nice job...

I was a fan of bioshock the second i played it and i would have loved to see a character like this in the 2nds online play and would have enjoyed useing it and hunting it.
Keep up the good work my interesting sounding friend.

Yeah

Love your stuff, gives me a reason to try harder on my audios. Good stuff.

Sir, you rock!

Awesome work. It really sounds like something that could be in the game!
