In addition to your metal, this is equally as good. I might even prefer this more to the metal. It's really good, just make it longer. Other than that I think it's great.

Hey guys , long time no see.
Since a friend is borrowing my POD and I'm bored and I just bought a new mic I thought why not try it out.
I'm nooot the best singer in the world but I would like to hear where I can and how I could improve.
This is recorded with my shitty nylon guitar with like 100 year old strings etc.
But still , tell me what you think.

Blade9000 was right, you do sound similar to Dexter Holland from the Offspring when he's not shouting. listen to Kristy are you Doing OK, and you'll see what i mean.
on to the review. you're a really good singer, better than most that i've heard here on NG. the lyrics were good as well. lot of emotion packed into a short song. which lead me to the one thing that i DIDN'T like about it, it was too short. i much prefer a song around the 2:30 length.
the vocal style fit perfectly with the acoustic guitar. the guitar piece was beautiful, and fit the mood of the song. this song is put together really well. i think it deserves a 9/10 and 5/5.

Haha thank you :) But the thing is I only improvised everything. But I'm gona do something serious of this song. But just felt like I needed some advice since I'm no real singer. :p
Pretty good.
You've got a pretty specific style of voice that can work well in a pretty wide variety of musical settings.
Even if it's not the strongest singing, I think it's pretty effective.
I'm not much of a vocalist so I can't be terribly specific in my critique. There's a variation or two in volume/tonality that almost sounds like you're changing position in relation to the mic.
Other than that I think you can definitely pursue vocal efforts with confidence that you won't make anyone's ears bleed.

well yeah, its not bad. Its not the best but its definitely not bad.
Could use MINIMAL work on vocals like staying on pitch (the very beginning)
other than that, I'd say it was perfect.

If it was a bit longer, I would've gave it maybe a 9 or a ten, but for now, it's an 8.

Thanks for the 8 (9) though :) It's just that I want to know what people think of my voice etc first before I do a whole song. And so I can practise singing for a while.
