In all honesty
I'm not interesting in getting a PC racing game buuuuuuuuuuuuut I did add this to my Burnout Paradise playlist on the PS3. :D
This is a tune for an update of a 3d-racing game that can be found @ http://www.redhillgames.c om/ (remove the space in the URL - the update isn't up and running yet as I make this comment).
Chekkk eeet oooooottttt.
EDIT(12jan2010): The update is out, go check out the demo (or buy the full game) here: http://www.3drcracing.com /2010/downloads.html (again remove the space in the URL).

I think the detuned sound doesn't work too well. Don't get me wrong I love me some dissonance here and there but it seems a bit too much.
The mix is beautiful. I expected that super high synth in the beginning to destroy my ears but you handled it nicely. Rolloff EQ's FTW.

i was, obviously, going for a dissonant sound, yeah, and i was kindof planning that the bass would counter it some. perhaps i should have introduced a part with a lead-synth or just a riff-synth that wasn't all dissonant, like you say. it probably would have given a better contrast than the bass alone...
oh well, i really don't have time to find out what it would sound like othervice, i've already spent too much time on this tune (and now it's mastered and done, so whatever).
but thanks for an honest and helpful review, man!
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
