Well, I started making this thing inspired by this thread: http://www.newgrounds.com /bbs/topic/1109994 (remove spaces)
So I made a gritty bass. And then I just went and added things to it. This is all just one patter, with a lot of automation.
I spent a fair amount of time mixing this, so nothing would clip. It is also the first thing I ever post-mastered, so you should be able to enjoy a tight mix here ;)
If you have an idea in which genre I should put this, please tell me.
Also, please review, I'd like to get some constructive criticism (I might make more out of this), so I'd really appreciate your input. I like 'awesome' because it means you liked it, but if that's all you're going to say, please just vote then.

You've got a quality song here. The bass could be a little grittier in my opinion, but that's just cause I like things over the top. Maybe adding some more distortion to it AFTER the filter could make it more crunchy, but that might also not be what you're looking for at all, so it's not really a criticism.

You're probably right about that. I noticed the bass got less powerful when I was working towards something more .. "me". It's not really as you explained in your thread, but I like it nonetheless.
In fact, I'm probably going to make a more Electro-house song out of this ;)

im not really a fan of the intro, its mostly the bass, im just not likeing it, its kind of boring
now when it starts falling of and the most ambient stuff is coming in, i do like it
actually i think the bass sounds good when with the other synth, but not alone
its good, neever variety and length though, but who cares about that shit

Yeah, the bass in the intro isn't all that nice when playing alone... I should definitely do something more with it.
The fact it doesn't vary is because this is just one pattern, more a loop than a song, but it's kind of structured like a song, so yeah.
