But the snare is very loud and so are the hi-hats. And the drums are quite plain and standard. Bass sounds also quite standard and sometimes the melodies collide.

Nonetheless, it's a good song.

i definitely like the other things you added. But I'm still kind of iffy about the silent portion. Maybe it doesn't have to fade all the way to silence to make an impact (Crossfade?). As a listener who is expecting the upbeat portion, somehow we want to be able to anticipate the exact beat it'll start on (like 00:19), as opposed to having an additional note to start. But it's your song, just play around with it more, I'm sure you'll produce more awesome tracks for us to enjoy!

Around 01:44, I feel more comfortable with the original version. The added notes kind of upsets the mood a little. But that's my opinion. :) Still like this.
