Ok, this is two songs in one track. "In Grandeur" is the opening instrumental segment and lasts for about the first 3 minutes. I can best describe it as a throbbing electrobeat with a little more 'beat' and a little less 'electro.' I was reminded of The Chemical Brothers song "The Sunshine Underground" after i listened to this part a few times..

The second part, "What if it Mattered," is around 4 minutes and is probably best described as a style reminiscent of My Bloody Valentine. The loud, almost obnoxious strings overlaying almost the entire piece purposefully nearly drown out everything else. This is a song about being ticked off at a person so much, you just want absolutely nothing to do with them. It may not seem like it, but as well as a song about sadness, it's a song about anger. You probably won't be able to make heads or tails of some of the lyrics anyways...

Most of the work was done on Fruity Loops Studio, while vocals and acoustic guitar were recorded in my home 'studio.'
