Mayhem was inspired by me hearing several (and I mean more than 8) police cars whizzing by me when I was driving on the highway, for no apparent reason. Later I found out that there was a spillage of biohazard materials just by a school. The thought of this instantly sprung up the thought of "I Am Legend", and all I wanted to do was mix insanely clashing synths with each other, and finally incorporating my signature 909 beat (which is still catchy to me).
