The beginning was probably a better rendition than the original, and then you put a whole new twist on it. I just about died from awesome overload.

Weird drums, brings back memories tough

As already said by DJPureSuffer, the drums feel kinda missplaced. I think the song feels a little bit overloaded that way. As such I would give you a 7/10 rating, but because I'll go now and dust off my old N64 to play some SM64, you get a nice 9/10.

Not too shabby at all

Im not particularly a fan of the drums though. i mean, i get what you're trying to do, i just dont feel that the beats matched well in some of the spots. but I suppose that could just be me alone in my opinion. other than that, very nice mix. I actually did a mix of this song as well, but it's different than this by far. its nice to hear multiple variations. nice job! :D
