very cool ... would work well with some dungeons in fallout 3 :-)
here's a dark, scratchy-sounding Waltz... yes, i know the hisses and pops are there--it's supposed to sound like an old record with all its lovely phonographic noises...
hope you enjoy!

Very Interesting...
Makes me think of the Nightmare Before Christmas. Really would fit well into a movie like that. Has a very playful, yet dark and brooding aura about it. I like it a lot.
I like it when the strings? come in. I think they are strings anyways. The sound that comes in around the 1:00 mark is very odd. Not sure I like it, yet I think I do.
I LOVE the drums! Fucking fantabulous sound for this type of song. Just beautiful work there bud. And the pads that come in and out during that section are very foreboding.
I think this song could have a single low bassline from the piano. Don't add a bass guitar, but rather play the tonic a few octaves below the melody on the downbeat of each measure. And just make it slightly audible. It should just be noticeable, yet not distinct enough to draw attention away from the "Rocking" melody. I say rocking not as in rocking out, but how it is swaying and rocking back and forth.
I love the crackle and hisses of the old phonograph sound. Amazing quality to this song. It really gives this song the color it needs to be unique.
5/5 and 9/10 overall. I think it could be tweaked slightly like I said. But other than that, this is unmistakeably brilliant!
Great job bud!

nice mood it creates
I would like the phonographic noises if it were more stylized somehow, dunno. I don't get tired of the looping keys. It's great. It's ready to be in a dark or cold scene of a flash movie.
Very nice!
I'm loving the dark sound to this piece! :)
The cracks and pops were a nice touch! How did you go about rendering that sound?
Keep it up, man!

thank you for the kind words!
the 'old phonograph' sounds were a combination of 'vinyl static' sample noises, as well as an unfortunate twist which occurs when i use some presets within a copied edition of software, that i decided could be possibly used to my advantage...this time... every other time, it irritates me to fathoms! XD
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
