A couple months ago liljim made a newspost about his renewed interest in music production. Telling us a bit about his schooling days where he was in a band (I didn't see THAT one coming, I always thought liljim looked too serious for banding with brother tunes. D:).
In any case, he was able to salvage the vocal mixes of some of his songs. Offering them to any artist who would be interested in trying their hand at doing something with them, I was quick to take him up on his offer.
I admit I lofted for a while, I had never EVER done this extent of vocal mixing before. I feared that since the vocalist had a melody already, it would be too difficult creating a mix that would correspond with it and yet yield enough freedom for me to move around.
Admittingly the first attempt was a COMPLETE failure. The second time was also pretty bad. But learning from the errors of the first two, this third mix, is something I am happy with.

I won't lie, I think it's better then what I have, but this was an experience I am quite thankful for. I will be trying to break down patchwork skies next! I will likely revisit this track later tomorrow and fix up a few last things. Might extend the mid section to flow better as that's the only part i'm somewhat unhappy with.

i swear i am trully enthralled by everything you and LadyArsenic do I just sometimes wish artists like u could live forever and share your great music with the world for all eternity! It's sad knowing talent like yours will not be shared with future generations as they will miss out on some of the best music in the world. Why you were born in this timeframe?---> To share your music with the millions and millions of NGers that also live in your timeframe and love your music. And I, happily say, I am one of those lucky people who believes I am your biggest fan, but we will never know who the biggest is,because there's so many for you to choose from :D

Turned out not so bad after all.
This piece didn't win me at first, mainly because i thought that the voice was too loud compared to the other instruments. But then, starting at 1:10 going to the end, i really really enjoyed that part. Your strings melody was beautiful and that little electric guitar worked wonders for me.
I can imagine how hard it must have been to work on this project. If i was to try something like that than surely i would need more than 3 tries to get it right.
Good job on this Maestro.

Not exactly my favorite song or anything, but you did do a good job of making use of the vocals. I might like it a lot more if it had different vocals or none at all, though. (although the original version is nice, I guess because the vocals fit that style better) Nice work still! ;)
