Metal, Rock - Heavy Metal

Author Comments

Just finished recording it, much heavier than my other songs, my best so far, yada yada yada. Really heavy, influences are Arch Enemy, Death, Black Label Society, etc. Doesn't end the way I wanted it, but I cant find out how to make it fade out on the program. Anyway, comment, review, blah, all that stuff, and make sure you listen to the entire thing. The main riff (at the beginning, melody part) starts off just a little slow (or fast, I cant really tell) and does that also the next time its used other than that and a bass guitar mess up during the second melody, its all good I think. It might be a little quiet though.

Nice job.

Great heavy metal song all around. There was very good guitar and decent drums. Perhaps the drums could have sounded a little bit more powerful, but not too bad I guess. I liked some of the sound effects that you through in there also right before the little solo. On that subject pretty nice solo and everything man. I think would be very good with vocals, but it's really good without them also. It just has the length to be a great submission with some vocals on it in my opinion. Perhaps someone will put them on someday or perhaps they already have I don't rally know. =P Anyway, I don't think that there should be a fade out at the ending. (I know you don't have one, but that's what you said you wanted to put on) I think it might be better to add a series of notes that it ends on, but yeah I will admit even a fade out will sound much better than how this just kind of ends in the middle of nowhere.

Very nice

Guitar tone is spotless. I would really like to have it :P

Drums could be a little more powerful, I suggest EZDrummer, works out real good for me.

Love the fact that every riff has a lead, I used to write a lot of my songs like that until I ran out of lead riff ideas haha.

Overall very good, can't get off how amazing that guitar tone is. If it's digital, let me know!

K1LL3R-9 responds:

thanks for the review, and for the guitar I ran a pocket metal muff through a basic Roland 30W amp. I have a full Metal Muff with Top Boost now, so hopefully the tone will be even thicker with the new songs.

I enjoyed it, man. Your guitar tone was great as fuck. Nice chord progression, it has something evil ... yeah a very dark feeling, that sounds really nice. You did a good job writting this. The ambiant effect (the storm and stuff) was a really nice addition. Haha great apreggios. But I have something to complain about ... the DRUMS ! They sound like GP4 !! WTF ! lol. Seriously try to get EZDrummer or Addictive drums and this would be perfect. I give you a 9 because you can improve the drums, though I vote teh 5 : ) Current Score 4.77 / 5.00 (+ 0.034) Rawk Own \m/

thanks, I do use GP5 for the drums and keyboards, but only because I use said program to write out the entire song. I'll have to check out those programs, if it has a way to convert files or if its just easy to recreate ill move onto those, thanks for the suggestions!

Spectacular... i think that it doesnt really need vocals whatsoever. this sounds like some backround music to like a battle or something... but one thing that almost ruined the whole song was the base X.X especially at 2:38 through 3:23... i dont think the song needs a base either, or just make it like a thousand times more quite. other than that, very METAL!!

K1LL3R-9 responds:

thanks for the review, I noticed the bass guitar mess ups, and I do plan on rerecording it later on. while i was creating the tone, i tried to make it really distorted, but i guess when it was put through the monitor it sounded better than it really was.

It reminds me of Dethklok, which is a good thing :D
