Reluctantly, you awake from your cramped corner. Opening your eyes, you see nothing. You fumble around for your flashlight and sling your backpack over your shoulder. With what little light you have, you find the nearest exit and barge your way out.

In the blackness outside, you're hit by the chill. You stand frozen in place on the empty street. The dawn chorus echoes in the distance as the wind stings your ears. The rain soaks you through; your clothes cling to your skin as you inch forward.

Taking a deep breath, you draw your pistol and march into the black void.

This is the dawn theme for the hypothetical apocalyptic urban survival game I sometime take a little joy out of dreaming up. I hope you'll join me in picturing the scene itself (Think "28 Days Later") or perhaps adapt it to suit your own image / submission.

*NOTE* It occured to me that this track would be perfect to accompany a main menu / pause menu screen on a game. I'd love someone to make that vision a reality.
