This is my second nocturne, written late, around midnight, though I got the main theme idea earlier in the day. It's in D major, though it modulates to B minor, E minor, A minor, and ends in A major. I really enjoyed writing this, and I hope you can appreciate it :] Please vote fairly and review [kindly].

EDIT: I finally got a mic and recorded myself playing this!!!

I just spent a few hours tweaking tempos and dynamics in the nwc (also a few notes), then re-recorded it with GPO in an effort to make the performance seem more real. Hope you hear a difference (some of you at least :P).

I love the overall soundplay..

MusicalRocky responds:

Thanks! :]

i want to hear this live!!!!!!
ahhh... i know it'll be FATASTIC if i hear this live...
and maybe a tad bit of a change at end... XD
cool piece...loved it~^^

MusicalRocky responds:

Well I know a certain someone who's planning on learning this and possibly recording themselves :D I'll let you know if that happens.

Glad you like it! Thanks for reviewing.

It's real nice...

I like it, soft, happy, and sad. I ussually like to invent and improvise over such things.
But i never make a song out of my things...Well now i'm going to, go check it out when im finished :)

But u recorded this?, cause it sometimes lacks quality...

MusicalRocky responds:

That's cool! I'll try to remember to check it out whenever you're done ;)
Yeah, I recorded it, but it's still a computer playing; it's Garritan's Steinway Grand though. I don't know what you mean by lacking quality...

Anyway thanks!

EDIT: I see now that you meant the recording peaked a bit. That's cause of me recording it live off of Noteworthy, and because of my lack of knowledge on how to control that. (I don't even think you really can control peaking in Garritan Studio.) Anyway I hope this renewed mp3 peaks less; seems to do so to me :D

really it works wonderfully. It flows in a great way and just works. Its not to long its not to short. NIcely done all together!

MusicalRocky responds:

I hope it's beautiful! :D
I rarely think of my pieces as beautiful lol.

That's good that it flows well--always a good thing. Indeed, in the 3-4 min range is a comfortable length for a song.

Glad you like it! Thanks for reviewing.

Good job :)

i like it alot and kudos for full piano song so 5/5 10/10 keep up the good work :) i think its happy ad sad at the same time so good job again lol

MusicalRocky responds:

I'm glad you listened to this and took the time to review!
And I'm happy that you like it too ;]
Thanks for the five. 'Tis rather bittersweet, isn't it? A piano piece in a major key can turn out like that lol.

Again thanks!
