So, sometime before New Year in 2023, I ordered from Amazon a multi-adapter which had retro-ports included. My goal was to attempt to save some data from ancient M2 cards which I had from my first phones.
One of them (1 whole MB) belonged to my good old Sony Ericsson.
I could recover a few things from it, including, to my surprise, a MIDI file.
I listened to it and got hit by nostalgia. This MIDI file was written by me and a friend back in 2009 in the little factory DAW from said phone. Yes, Java phones came with a small DAW.
Back then I attempted to write something but didn't make it far. A friend of mine who was into music back then messed with the project a bit, made a base out of it, and told me to finish it later by myself. Which I never did and we forgot about it.
Until now.
Of course, I could not leave the find alone. I loaded the MIDI into FL the same day, and started making something out of it.
This is the result!
I asked my friend to name it, he said to call it "I Guess I Forgot That" because we both literally forgot it existed.
Part of the Pony Hits album.
