Doing a reality check is a method to have a lucid dream, which is a dream where your conscience is awake and you're free to do anything you want to. Looking to a mirror, a watch or touching the fingers of your own hands are a way of doing a reality check, and if something is wrong (the mirror isn't reflecting you or you have more than 5 fingers), you could be in a dream. Doing it in real life is easy, but in dreams without being conscient and having control of yourself it may be hard, so try to create the habit of doing a reality check, like if it was something common and normal, do it every day, and probably you'll do the same thing in your dreams and start to notice when you're dreaming. (sorry if my english is bad lol)

Hacer un chequeo de realidad es una forma de tener un sueño lúcido, el cuál es un sueño en el que tu conciencia está despierta y eres libre de hacer lo que te apetezca. Mirar un espejo, un reloj o tocarse los dedos de tus manos son unas formas de hacer un chequeo de realidad, y si algo está mal (el espejo no te está reflejando o tienes más de 5 dedos), puede que estés en un sueño. Probarlo en la vida real es fácil, pero en tus sueños sin ser consciente ni tener control de ti mismo puede resultar difícil, así que intenta crear el hábito de hacer un chequeo de realidad, como si fuese algo común y normal, hazlo cada día, y probablemente empezarás a hacer lo mismo en tus sueños y empezarás a darte cuenta de cuando estás soñando.
