This song started from the main vibraphone melody I came up with while playing with my old Yamaha keyboard. From there, everything in this song just kind of came naturally. In only a couple days I had made an entire song.
The song is about how our beloved things get farther away from us in time the further in life we inevitably live after their time has come and gone. Their memory sticks with us, but their time of being with us gets further away the longer we live, and nothing can be done about it.
