Lyrics:
[I. Cecily Cardew, or: "Hard Cider Drink It At A Stoplight"]
Cecily:
At the bus stop
I check the time
And the sun sets
Are you just now waking up?
Forgotten love
Heartbroken
I'm alone again
You were there
Telling me that you know what it's like
Unbridled suicide
And our meeting was a fate/faith of chance
If I never clicked on that bright pink hue
I might not have had you
Someone I trust
Someone I love
I think she was always hiding in plain sight
You were by my side
So can we start a band?
You can play the bass, I'll write
You can call me bunny all night (NOTE: not sex)
Bitter caffeine
Sound of glass cracking
That is what it means to write a pretty song
Just like the setting dawn
You're the only person who can hear me
You're the most important person in my life
And I'm so terrified
Revitalize my life
Don't have to tell me it's alright
If you'll stay by my side
I might not ever wanna die
In 20 years, it took my whole life
Making my way through onto you
[II. Beatrix Angelica, or: "Two Kittens Speak Peace"]
Biddy:
A surreal alignment of fate
You came down stairs to check if I still exist
And there's noise, and there noise
I wanna fall asleep and see you there when I'm up
So you were here some day
Barged into my life
And I can love you, not save you
We need to get out
And we're a fox in a roadkill
We're the prey in the dark
And if the sea overtakes us
We'll sail in an arc/ark
I saw you in a dream
We'll do it together
I know what you mean
Yeah, fight through the weather
I wish I could have helped
Let's do it together
Be anybody else
All tarred and now tethered
I'll follow till the end
We'll do it together
You know you're my best friend
Yeah, fight through the weather
You may not be the best
Let's do it together
But you always know the rest
All tarred and now tethered
(Revitalize a life
Please tell me you are there
I still don't think it's fair
We're a colourful being)
(Change a different life
I'm never gonna sleep
You know I always weep
And you knew it and you did it)
[III. The Bad Arts, or: "Go Serve Realness, Pilgrim"]
Biddy:
"hey, um, i know this past year's been rough for you..."
"i'm always here if you need someone to talk to, okay?..."
Cecily:
Your love is a conquest
My love is a fever
Any love will do, any at all.
I wanted you
I wanted to fall
Predisposed to being callous
I swear I didn't mean it
these predestined things
Falling like they're dominoes
Tumble down to me
Falling into hell
Rather write my masterpiece
You are first to read
[IV. Shisouhan, or: "Performance of the Trans Younger Sister Choir"]
Cecily:
Speaker, I wrote a song today, to hurt myself. It’s simple, really. Instead of sharpening my fangs, I leave a scar in my heart with my words. They say everything is allowed in love and war, but it is also allowed in art. People say my art is good for being honest, but I don't want it to be; I want to make art to make their stomachs lurch. The only good kind of art is that which makes one feel something. The only good art is a drug, a poison. I want to inflict pain on others so that they feel something ugly or beautiful. If that means hurting others, that’s what I would do. They say you'd only want to hurt someone you love. They say you have to love someone to hurt them. I will not bite my tongue: I want to write a story to hurt you.
Choir:
Stay tough, angelorum
Stay tough, pop punk priestess
Stay tough, angelorum
Stay tough, pop punk priestess
Stay tough, angelorum
Stay tough, pop punk priestess
Stay tough, angelorum
Stay tough, pop punk priestess
Stay tough, angelorum
Stay tough, pop punk priestess
Stay tough, angelorum
Stay tough, pop punk priestess
Stay tough, angelorum
Stay tough, pop punk priestess
