I've made Jazz before, technically, but never in its classic "ding-din-di-ding" ride pattern form, so here I tried making something clearly inspired by Miles Davis' "So What", the title is an obvious reference hah!
It was a good time for experimentation with melodies and humanization: NONE of the tracks are perfectly on beat, though the BPM stays the same throughout .) Also dynamic range, this might be my least compressed track, I wanted that crusty, "saxophone eating the rest of the instruments" sound, but decided it'd be too annoying to set up the compressor to do that.
