James: “I heard Josh’s amazing acoustic ideas with overlapping guitars, but they sounded like they were recorded on sandpaper. After getting to know him a little more, I learned that he played guitar for Phallucy and his first drummer was Abe Cunningham. Like, how could you screw that up?… everything was there on a silver platter. When I first met him I thought, ‘Is this guy a unibomber?’ He’s clearly of the Devil. He once told me that his inability to thrash his hair in unison with the rest of the band led to the destruction of his career as a performing artist… and I believed him. Honestly I just felt bad for the guy, so I moved to Arkansas. Now I secretly poison his food so I can eventually escape this hellish nightmare.”

Josh: “I heard James’s incredible music and was impressed by the production he was able to obtain from a bedroom studio, and a $600 computer he built himself. We spoke for several months and I learned that James didn’t own or want a car, had worked on two different farms in his life, and was now living alone in Missouri. I thought, ‘Who the f**k is this guy, the unibomber? He’s clearly of the Devil.’ I had to meet him for myself to be sure. When that went well, honestly I just felt bad for the guy, so I asked him to come to Arkansas and visit for a couple weeks… and we all bonded over covid. But that didn’t deter him. James is so positive and uplifting all the time, and he knows I hate it. Can I tell you a secret? He doesn’t know it, but I’m poisoning his food in the hopes of eventually escaping this brutal nightmare.”

I probably don't need to say this, but I will anyway... All of that was sarcasm.
