Man I love this one! It feels extremely hype to me
Breakbeats have been a part of my music production since I first discovered how to chop them on my first Windows PC in FL Studio, roughly around 15 years ago. Technically, drum loops and drum breaks have always been a part of my production process going all the way back to when I was starting out in Garageband when it first released in 2004. While breakbeat music like jungle and early drum & bass carries a distinct 90s energy, its influence and spread has always been there even for noughties kids like me, and for kids who grew up in the 10s and for kids who are growing up today. I happened to see that there was a breakbeat collab going on thanks to Tom Fulp's handy calendar announcements, so I had to get in on that after I was done with my Madness Day remix album. (I wanted to get into the Jack In The Box collab too but I didn't have enough time to develop a house track that would be unique and suit my style).
But somehow, I managed to develop a full ripping and roaring jungle track with all of the most common drum breaks mashed together, several bass tracks doing different jobs sonically, lush pads and vocal ad libs practically recycled from a bunch of old jungle tracks thanks to a sample pack I found. This is Rudy Recycla, the Champion of Bad Boy Sound. 165 BPM
Check out the rest of the collab too, there are really a bunch of amazing tracks in there, and Xanxo did an excellent job with the placing and pacing of the various entries.
