Very cool! The instrument/sample choices really sell the frigid stillness of the environment. It feels almost organic in parts, like a once-lush forest that's been conquered by thick sheets of ice and frost.

This is a song inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I wrote an article about it here: Creating a song with the sounds of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - by JensVide (newgrounds.com)

That sounds like Sweden in winter. Glad you enjoyed!
Very strange, but I will admit, I like strange, and the OOT feel is definitely there, it’s creepy, much like the rest of the game so I say it suits well. It’s not my style, but good nonetheless.
It was very interesting to read about your process behind making this track, and the research and resources you used to create it. It definitely has that Ocarina of Time feel. I think it would be perfect for a ROM hack of OoT, or an independent game inspired by OoT.
The only thing I don't like about it is that the icy bells don't seem to go together with the jungle beats and Indian(?) chanting, at least in my mind. A chilly feeling, or a humid and warm tropical feeling, my mind can't seem to decide what kind of vibe to perceive when listening to this. Of course that's all largely due to cultural context.
It's interesting that you mention the both a cold and warm feeling, because that is also what I pictured. The temple itself is in a barren arctic tundra, but the inside is warm and torch lit.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
