Hello folks!

Long time no see. I've been lurking NG more often lately than I have in a long while, mostly to follow this year's NGADM as I usually like to do during NGADM season. So much of the music I've heard from here recently is super inspiring and got me feeling quite nostalgic for the times I was more active here in the community, especially when I realised the last thing I uploaded was over three years ago... so I decided to look through my files and see if I couldn't find something more recent to upload here to revive my page a little.

Stones of the Solstice (or at least this current version of it) isn't an incredibly fleshed out song - its layers are quite simple. April 2022, I bought myself a new killarney tin whistle as a birthday treat, and I wanted to test it out. That's how this was made - a harmonium as a base, some simple hammered dulcimer, a nice rhythm, and just going ham on the whistle, complemented by my Irish low whistle. It's quite rare for me to upload something without vocals here, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless! :)

Welcome back! I have to say, that percussion really drew me in right straightaway. You say it's not so fleshed-out, but man...this style is my jam! Noodle away and totally go ham anytime, my friend. The experience was fun and fresh, and even without vocals it's still all you, mate.

I often wonder what you're up to and how you're doing, so I'm honestly chuffed to know that you've still got music beating in your heart! It's nice to know that we both still lurk in the shadows, but like not in a creepy way. :D

This is so unique and might be one of the best things I've heard for a bit on Newgrounds. You've earned my follow I would love to see more like this! I plan to use this in some projects if that's fine and don't worry I will be crediting you since this is spectacular!

omg the texture of this is so well constructed! like you develop it in a way that makes it richer without ever feeling cluttered

also your wind writing/playing is super tasteful in having independence between the different lines while still being very aware of where they fit into place with the others

very enjoyable listen pls dont make us wait 3+ years for the next one :')

Hello, newfound newgrounds music-making genius. Thanks for listening and letting me know what you thought! Hearing your music was actually one of a few things that inspired me to post something after so long. I'm kinda glad I did, because afterwards, I realised that on my music page here, there would be something for every single year since 2013, except 2023 would have just been completely skipped. That would be have been horribly unsatisfying, so thanks for allowing me to avoid such a catastrophe.

I usually like to add way more sound design and such, but wanted to go a bit more acoustic with this arrangement in feel. Glad that sometimes simple is enough! :D

I'll upload a bit more actively if you do too. How's that for a deal?
