After 3 months of SCORCHING heat, today is the Autumn Equinox, The day where the sunshine hours and lunar hours are equal.

After today, the hours of sunshine will begin to decrease, the weather will FINALLY start to cool down and eventually enter the long-waited for, Winter.

Summary of the Summer (lol summer summary)

• This summer was beyond scorching, ususally summers are hot but I have never experienced a summer as hot as this year, in fact no one did. In July there was a really long heatwave that made me sweat every single day (and even night). I remember sweating at 2am because the humidity was so high. In the day I was sweating buckets just 5 minutes after getting out. The heatwave lasted more than 3 weeks.

• August wasn't any better, with another heatwave (this time dry and shorter) that rose temperatures up to 38c. Outside heatwaves, the summer was way hotter than previous summers, with temperatures usually being 3 degrees above average.

• As for September, the weather never cooled down. Since I walk home from school, every day I come home sweating like crazy (mainly in the back). 2 small heat events happened but they werent too bad compared to July.

• Yes I have to include October here lol. even in October the weather never cooled down except for a few cool days. Towards the end of October there was a heatwave and it felt like August in October. Just imagine 32 degrees on halloween.

• Overall, the summer was way hotter than average (The second hottest summer since the beginning of measurements) with 2 major heatwaves and unusually high temperatures and humidity.
