Wonderful
This is my tune for NGUAC!
I'm short on time as I got some birthday plans for the next couple days, but I can write a little bit about this tune!
For this one I wanted to focus mostly on the composition. I spent a lot of time thinking about the chords, bass and melodies. I practiced restraint when it came to the fancy mixing and layering stuff. I wanted to keep that simple and keep it clean. Generally, I just wanted to make a real solid and pleasant tune that feels good to listen to!! I feel happy with how it all came together, and I hope you do too!
Enjoy!
Wonderful
I feel like the only thing that would make this much better is to bring up the snare and reduce a bit of the bottom head noise/room noise. Perhaps tune it down some. Track is lively, snappy, and upbeat. I like the details you've added in the panning and writing of percussion without being all over the place.
Some minor adjustments of levels throughout and that really is all that's needed to make this absolutely pristine. Perhaps even just harder compression would do the trick, with a bit more high mid on the bass, just a bit less lead since your mix is not at all crowded, and perhaps less hihat and ride volume -- I notice a big contrast in their volume to the rest of the piece. Lowering them makes room to drive the rest of the piece just a bit harder. Toms could have some more low and hi mid as well.
calming!
This is exactly the kind of music I want to grow into in the future. By far one of my favorite genres, especially when the melodies are this catchy
Amazing stuff :)
Sounds like a good wednesday night
