When my partner and I broke up for almost a year, I had a feeling in the back of my mind that we were still in love. We would send each other blue and green color coded heart emojis in all our texts. We'd already been together for over 2 years and come out of a tumultuous time together. As of the last few months, we're back together and happier than ever, at least I think so anyway.

Most of my songs are a little too depressing if you ask me, as far as variety goes. This love song on the other hand, with its indie-folk-meets-nintendo-64 vibes, is certainly not. influenced equally by koji kondo and lou barlow.
