Nice! Lots of interesting stuff going on here so I had this one saved on a playlist :)
The rap part just didn't work for me. I kept his hook as the choruses and the verses are really instrumentals. It feels more in line with what Store in a Cool Dry Place is all about...really... breakbeat, downtempo electronic music/instrumentals. Think Bonobo, Fatboy Slim, Boards of Canada..(a few of what people may know). If a song evolves into more of a traditional song with singing verses and choruses it should happen organically over time. (Kind of like where Tycho went with his latest album). For now, I'm just exploring compositions and an amalgamation of styles since early spring. The nice thing about working solo is you can explore a lot more without interference which in the end is better for your songwriting and arranging chops anyway.

Thank you!
mind-frontier shit,
a door into a
door into a d
oor into a do
or into a doo
r into a door
++stumbled into unexpected land, brain full of
static, ground under ur feet pirouetting beneath
you.
intro so good, rly feels like walking out onto prairies unknown -
whole song a different world but i love 1:50... a change in air
temprature and increase in moisture for a brief but welcomed,
moment.
Thanks for the great review! Yea really exploring some new territory. It's been a great artistic and musical journey for me lately. Looking forward to sharing the full project when done later this summer hopefully if life doesn't get to in the way. Meanwhile will continue to share my progress with listeners here.
