I'm releasing all the music I wrote for "The Interdimensional Six Pack", a 6 episode arc of the TTRPG podcast Tales of Nowhere. They played games from different IP's (Star Trek, Pokemon & Warhammer 40K) which gave me the opportunity to write things in those styles. It was a hell of a lot of fun to both write for and be featured on the podcast as a DM! Since NG is where I got started writing I figured it made sense to share them all on here. If you want to use any of these tracks you totally can. Just be sure to credit me if possible!

TRACK DETAILS:

Alright, now we're getting into some universal-crossover stuff. In the scene, Team Rocket's Giovanni has captured a 40k Ork in a pokeball and uses it to battle. Which gets exactly as chaotic as it sounds. But in order to capture that feeling sonically I wanted to do things a bit differently with this. So while I did mostly use 8-bit stuff I also incorporated some of the more "Warhammer" elements in there. Most of the synths are 8-bit stuff I ran through just WAY too many FX and amps.

I will say that, after writing this song and listening back to it I'm not super happy with how it turned out, especially the beginning. It just feels awkward and slow to me. There are certain parts that vibe and it fits the scene but it doesn't hold up to my ears as a standalone piece like some of the other ones do. I think the percs aren't really incorporated super well together. I could have used MORPH to mix the static gen percs in with the orchestral ones and that could've turned out cool... But I didn't do that lol. The transition at 5:00 is especially rough because this was originally 2 different files: The first 5 minutes that I was able to loop and cut and edit, then the last 3 which served as the "resolution" to the track. Writing for a podcast is weird, dude.
