Entropy

Entropy, as defined by Merriam-Webster, is "a measure of the unavailable energy in a closed thermodynamic system that is also usually considered to be a measure of the system's disorder, that is a property of the system's state, and that varies directly with any reversible change in heat in the system and inversely with the temperature of the system." In other words, it is the amount of 'chaos' of particles in a closed system, such as a pizza coming out of the oven and cooling down the longer it is left out. According to the second law of thermodynamics, entropy must always increase over time. Should time go backwards, entropy would decrease, which would be violating the second law. And, in mathematical equations, 𝚫S is used to represent a change in entropy. Essentially, the name of this song is simply a long-winded way of saying that time will only ever move forward.

5 years ago, I released my first-ever song, Beauty Through the Dark. While it is relatively shoddy and far from what I'm capable of nowadays, I wanted to acknowledge this day as marking 5 years of me writing music. And thus, I produced this song. (Oh, and I also just wanted to remix some of my own melodies lol)
