yeah its unusual as hell to release two songs close together for me i know lmao. Happy Holidays Everyone! This B E A S T of a song (haha) took me (as i am currently writing this while doing extra mixing and mastering) 79 hours and 43 minutes. yeah... fucking christ...

but it is one of my favorite ones i made, as its kinda like a clusterfuck of Flandre, Yuuma and Okina's themes, as if to tell a story im too lazy to write about lmao.

you can access a higher quality Audio Version with BandCamp: just pay what you want ($0)

and also our artist for the album art did an awesome job for this album and thats not because its Yuuma so make sure you give them some love here: https://twitter.com/04garo (double check this me)

Ever since i listened to Yuuma's theme(s) in 17.5 i've loved them, i kinda had the idea to remix them, now its harder said than done when you have writers block 85% of the time to sit down and conjure this shit lmao. but i finally was able to around june-ish of this year. and i've had alot of breaks and places i would be clueless on where to go, or melodies or other things i would scrap. like hell theres like 3-4 sections i scrapped where Okina's theme is now. but it seems im getting a little better with being able to come up with stuff, not sure if the writer block is finally breaking away or if writing other touhou song melodies as a way to fill in blank space gave the illusion of such.

i think a large reason for this is my lack of structure when making stuff, or atleast a solid enough structure to make me feel like its not just a loooong grueling task to chew through. it really shouldnt take 79+ hours to make a song. and hopefully i can take time next year to try to implement new habits to hopefully aid me in not spending that much time on music, because i kinda miss the days where i could upload 10-15 songs a year, which as i grew and got more i guess, polish heavy with my work (atleast compared to the older stuff) the time grew exponentially. so my new years resolution, or atleast one of them, is to try to release atleast 4 songs, hopefully more. well that sounds too achievable and thats not how new years resolutions are supposed to be... my resolution is to release 10 songs next year! lmao. regardless, this is my proudest project so far. I hope yall enjoy it, i know imma be spamming in alot of discord promo channels and anywhere else i can cuz, i guess i want validation that the 80 hours weren't for nothing, i guess. I love you guys, i love my friends who have helped encourage and push me to do music stuff, and all of yall whether you are new to my stuff or been here from the beginning. Thank you for coming to listen to my music, it means a fuckton to me.

What do you even do for 80 hours!? That's insane! Sounds great though.

death2go responds:

cast different ideas for different sections of a song, spend too much time on it to try to make it sound good, realize no matter how much i try it just wont for that melody, delete and remake a section or melody, repeat 3 times per section for the entire song lmao
