I originally started writing this EP way back in February of 2022, i was listening to a lot of melodic hardcore [mostly bands like Casey]

and post hardcore as well. I started off with merit which became an unfinished demo for a long while, and i originally intended for it to be one of the many demo ideas i had for when i was able to start a band and as practice for heavy music production.

But of course that never really came so by the time i started working on loathe it clicked and i thought to myself "oh, we are actually doing this."

2012 was thought on a whim, as i already have plans to release an ep with a similar name in the future, but i decided to go for it anyway.

by the time i had finished 2012, i was already planning on mapping out the entire ep using my fender mustang as i had gotten to a point

where i could somewhat produce heavy music with it. Of course, because i can't play guitar really well i was definitely going to leave some parts in as the idea would've already been clear, but by the time i got to do that in august, some unfortunate things had happened that rendered my guitar useless.

I spent a lot of time on this EP and while it's not a groundbreaking release for me in my opinion, i am glad to finally release it, as it kind of serves as a form of catharsis for me.

that being said, i apologize for the inconvenience and i hope that you all will find it in your hearts to forgive me and see my vision as well.
