Partially inspired by Stephen King's Cycle of the Werewolf aka Silver Bullet. About a wheelchair bound kid, whom discovers one of his fellow townspeople may be a Werewolf killing his friends and neighbours.

In the case of this song, it takes place in Colorado during the Silver Boom in the late 1870s. However despite business raking in the dough, mining gets shut down, due to attacks on the miners. The attacks lead people to believe that a wild animal is on the loose, but due to the accuracy of the wounds and the position of the bodies, they have reason to believe it's an animal with the mind of a man. You're a recent worker. Experienced in mining, but also a former gunslinger and hunter. You take one look at the scene of the crime and decide to look into your archives. They match no animal you seen before. So as a last resort you break out the big guns. A book on myths and legends. You come to the conclusion that the creature may be a werewolf. Using your experience as a miner you go into the mine and steal as much silver ore as you can. Melt it down and put them in low grain cases. That's right, you're making silver bullets and this wolf now has something to fear.

The twist is, that it feared someone would kill it one day if they had access to silver hence why it tried to stop the mining.

For this song, I wanted to make it slow paced at first, before it gradually picked up speed. So I made it long like most of my songs, but then used Audacity's stretch effect. So it sounds the music is winding up.
