Here is my third attempt at the Album-A-Day challenge, and I am pleased to say that this is my first successful attempt at it, running just about 30 seconds more than the minimum requirement! However, some desperate measures were taken in order to get there but hey, I did it, and that's all that matters, right? The name of this album comes from the third track, and on the subject of those, there was a decently wide variety of song durations on this AAD, from super short ones, to the longest I have ever managed to make during the attempt of one of these projects, for the second time in a row. There's a bit too many songs this time around for me to give super in-depth reflections on, but I can say that some of my favorites include the kickoff, "Radiation," "Lemon Milkshake," the finale, "Monsoon in the Sahara" and of course, "Supernatural Siege," clocking in at a whopping four minutes and 25 seconds! Something else of particular interest was that for the first time on one of these Album-A-Day attempts, I recorded real foley and acapella on the songs "Ramblings of an Insane Man" and "Desperation," the latter being nothing more than beating up an empty two liter soda bottle for three minutes and the drums in the former consisting of some old samples I recorded of me smacking other bottles of various sizes together. Overall, this was definitely quite the interesting album, even if I do think that some of the tracks had a lot more potential that could have been explored if I hadn't been making them for this AAD attempt, such as the appropriately named dubstep track, "Rave Gone Wrong."
As always, enjoy the music that I've been able to cook up for you guys this time! I'll be taking a break from these for now because the holidays are approaching and I would like to devote some attention to my other interests when I won't be travelling over the next few weeks. I'm thinking sometime in mid-December for the next attempt. Anyways, here's the tracklist for this AAD:
