This production took me a while to produced. I carefully mapped out what I was
going to do, and started adding instruments to this song like putting a puzzle together.
I worked on this song day and night adding and taking away instruments daily.
When I was finished, I had 36 instruments playing at the same time.
Once I had the music the way I liked it, then came the nightmare of mixing all of these instruments.
I had to think like a conductor and an audience member at the same time.
Where should I pan the flute players, or the trombone players? How loud should be the chorus?
So I started picturing a 36 piece orchestra and placing them in the mix like an artist putting paint on a canvas.
This my friend was very tedious to say the least, but well worth it. I believe I could have mixed the song
a little better than I did, but do to time and the lack of it, I think I did a pretty good job.
The song title is how I felt about going back to my roots. I love producing all kinds of music, but
classical music is my bread and butter, and if you are going to join a contest, I've learned you need to stick with what
you are somewhat good at. So I felt I needed to redeem myself and go back to what music I'm used to producing.
I hope everyone enjoys this piece of music and good luck to all the very talented musicians in this wonderful contest!
