Haven't published anything in almost a year due to a producer's hell of depression and not feeling like I'm good enough.

I always have this perfectionism mindset, but I'm imperfect also (always skipping over things, absent minded, no attention span for the life of me, etc.) so a lot of my music is still pretty flawed (weird mixing and next to no mastering) and I always go through this self-depreciating loop of starting a project, then thinking "I'm never gonna get better so what's the point?" and all that other depressing stuff.

Then a few weeks ago, I was mentioning my self-depreciation and flaws in music at MDK's server and MDK himself told me a lot of helpful things (and some harsh truths) about production, is that a lot of starting out involves a lot of trial and error. A lot of my older songs may not be as good as they should be, but each new song improves, even by the smallest amounts, and I should be happy that I am, in fact improving.

As he said to me, "don't sit down for your first attempt expecting to be happy with the final result, It'll suck, that's jus how it goes. And so will the next 100 attempts. The happiness should come from "Damn, I'm learning and improving and I can hear progress" not "boohoo my first attempt didn't sound like Zomboy""

And that comment, from one of my top favorite musical idols, really hit me.

Anyway, sad sob story aside, here's a VIP mix of one of my older tracks, originally called Fás, but I've dropped the "naming songs after cool words that I put through google translate into Scottish Gaelic" and is using the English word, Growth, which seems like a fitting song to remix, to show how much I've improved in the last 2 years of producing.
