I've been doing a lot of covers lately. here's one I recorded recently of Rumble by Link Wray & His Raymen from 1958.
It's an old surf rock tune that popularized the use of distortion pedals and power chords in rock & roll music, which went on to become the foundation of any punk/hard rock tune you can think of. It was so vile for it's time that some radio stations banned it from airplay, because they feared it would incite teenage violence, despite not having any kind of vocal section at all.
Really says a lot about the song when just the guitar tone itself was enough to make people fear the music. hope you enjoy it!!
