So the first one was scrapped and I had to make a new one... What the heck do I even do?
I just accepted my fate and decided to just slap together what sounded alright.
With the new ending, they wanted it to be more peaceful and conclusive so I just went with a more atmospheric track or whatever with very sparse everything.
I sent a sketch which was basically just this without the B section and they really liked it so....
Re-use melody, re-contextualize it in the current style and 10 mins later I had the final piece.
I gotta say though the mellotron is a lot louder since I scaled some of the instruments back and I really REALLY like the sound of the flute setting with delay.
I would say because it was approved so fast, it was kind-of a convenience to the team since they're struggling to really get the game done before the deadline. The most important part is to playtest your game and if you don't have time you run the risk of failing your thesis ahahaha.
