Wrote it this morning in a couple hrs

Even so wrong, you were right

And you showed them all your might

Though the moonlight in the sky won't reach your eyes

So now in truth here you lie

And the gold you lie beside

Pays for one last solemn ride toward the light

Can you reach out through your mound and touch the ones you left behind?

Is it only me who knows how hard you tried?

A life of good outweighs the ill

One moment swayed your will

As many mortals so befouled in rising tides

Oh sure footing did you find

after stumbling so blind

With fate to guide your fall, a blessing in disguise

Many tales and songs will tell of noble deeds and how you fell

How the river bore you through the lands where once you dwelled
