loops epicly (is that a word?)
Randomly started playing this game and realized this song was awesome. I tried to make this one as close as possible, then exported and tried to submit it as a song, but it was too big a file, so I cut it down into a loop. Hope you guys like this one; it's pretty cool, and I enjoyed making it.

It is now. :P
Your Problem :P
The only reason this sounds so bad is because instead of using a bass, you used what sounds more like an electric guitar synth. (the instrument it opens up with, and repeats with throughout the song, the dododo, dododo, dododo)
Towards the end, when you kill it off and replace it, that sounds nice, but it's JUST that synth that screws it up. Fix that and this is a really nice Videogame song :3

would be proud!
Idea
Perhaps you can mess with the quality of your song in order for it to meet the filesize restriction. I've seen some songs on the portal in excess of 5 or 6 minutes, but the audio artifacts become pretty noticeable at that point.
The alternative is to host the full quality version on some other fire-sharing site and put up a link.
To the song though, I found this my favorite out of all of them too. I had to break it out and compare just for the sake of it and you were pretty spot on, 5/5 10/10.
Yeah, I figured that out way after this.
Haha, thanks for the suggestion though.
Well composed.
Some of the sound choices felt a little odd to me. While I usually appreciate mixing instruments among genres and songs, some of your stuff seemed kind of off. It may have just been the particular version of the synth that you used, but in either case, this is a good song with some minor sound issues.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
